Popular Sri Lankan artiste Iraj Weeraratne has been appointed as a member of the Board of Directors of the National Youth Services Council. The appointment was made by Namal Rajapaksa, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs.
Weeraratne is known to be a key supporter of the current government and had toiled for its election victory. He is also a close confidant of Rajapaksa. He was also appointed as a Digital Marketing Consultant to Sri Lanka Tourism in February this year.
