Investigation Launched into Suspicious Death of Nine-Year-Old Girl

Authorities have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the demise of a nine-year-old girl, who was discovered hanging within a residence in Halawata, Iranavila today (12).

The lifeless body of the young girl was found suspended in a room of her home by a neighbor of the same age. Immediately upon making the grim discovery, the neighbor alerted the deceased girl’s father and raised an alarm for assistance. The girl was promptly taken to a hospital for urgent medical attention.

As part of the investigative process, a post-mortem examination was planned for the evening at the Halawata District General Hospital.

Additionally, both the Magistrate’s Inquest and the Coroner’s Inquest took place in the morning, as authorities sought to ascertain the circumstances surrounding the tragedy.
