SJB MPs Manusha Nanayakkara and Harin Fernando have visited the Human Rights Council in Geneva, Switzerland.
According to them that it is to inform the council about the imprisoned popular actor and former parliamentarian Ranjan Ramanayake and the human rights violations in this country.
Following are the views expressed by MP Manusha Nanayakkara in this regard.
“Defending the fundamental rights of the people is an inalienable responsibility.
Accordingly, MP Harin Pagnanando and I went to the UN Human Rights Council in Geneva with the demand for the release of MP Ranjan Ramanayake who had spoken out against corruption and fraud, ”said Manusha Nanayakkara.
