GSMB Chairman sent home : DG sent on compulsory leave

The Chairman  of the Geological Survey and Mines Bureau (GSMB) S.P Majula has been removed  and  the Director General of GSMB Dr Sajjana De Sila has been  sent on compulsory vacation   over charges of corruption, sources said.

They said the decision was announced by the president this evening. They were accused of  disastrous sand mining in Safinagar area.
