Government ready to purchase organic paddy at 100 per Kilo

The government is ready to purchase organic paddy from farmers at Rs. 100 per kilo Gram , Minister of Agriculture Mahindananda Aluthgamage says.
According to a pree release isued by The Ministry announcement states that Paddy buyers are already purchasing Nadu paddy at Rs. 80 per kilo, Samba paddy at Rs. 100 per kilo and Keeri Samba paddy at Rs. 125 per kilo.

The statement issued by the Minister states as follows:

“Farmers’ agitations are being held all over the island these days. But I believe that those protests are not about real farmers. The puppets of the Minister of Agriculture are made and burnt. The Minister of Agriculture is attacked. But farmers forget that for the first time in history they get Rs. 80 per kilo of paddy during the tenure of the Minister of Agriculture. ”

Also, if there is a loss to agriculture due to organic farming, the government will pay the loss. I request you to trust that government guarantee and focus on your farming ”
