Former President Maithree named as a suspect in Easter Sunday attack

Former President Maithripala Sirisena was noticed to appear in court  on October 14 over a private plaint relating to Easter Sunday attack by the Colombo Fort Magistrate’s Court today.

Colombo Fort Magistrate Magistrate Thilina Gamage further decided to name former President Maithripala Sirisena as a suspect of a private plaint. The private plaint was foiled by Rev. Fr. Cyril Gamini Fernando and Jesuraj Ganeshan, a victim of Easter Sunday attack  urging to take legal action against former President under section 298 of Penal Code for causing death by negligence.
