Fled president Gotabaya to return to the Island soon!

President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, who fled due to public protests, is soon to return to Sri Lanka political sources said.
Sources also revealed to Lankasara that the former president who is currently in Singapore is suffering from a slight illness and is scheduled to return to Sri Lanka after the related treatment.

According to the sources, after returning the former president is due to stay at his Mirihana residence until the government provide him with a n official residence and other entitled privileges. Arrangements are underway to provide all necessasory arrangements to provide the former president with the official residence, security vehicles and staff accordingly.

The Immigration and Checkpoint Inspection Authority of Singapore officially announced recently that a 14-day short-term visa was issued to Mr. Gotabaya Rajajapaksa, who arrived in Singapore on the 14th. Accordingly, it is not clear whether he will come on the 28th or whether he will be extended his visa, but attention has already been focused on giving him the privileges he should be entitled to in Sri Lanka. Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa left for Maldives on a Sri Lanka Air Force Air craft on the night of the 12th in the wake of the huge public protest on July 9th and from there went to Singapore to send his resignation letter to the Speaker.
