The two-month-old infant rescued from the rubble after a five-story building collapsed onto a house in Buwelikanda, Kandy has died. The rescue mission led by the Police, Army and Fire fighting units are ongoing in search of the infant’s parents. The infant after being rescued was admitted to the Kandy Teaching Hospital but was declared dead after 30 minutes. The incident has occurred around 5am in the morning today according to eyewitnesses.
