Fatal Shooting Near Dharmashoka Vidyalaya in Ambalangoda

A person named Perumadura Ujithda Soysa, also known as Chuti Mama, a fifty-three-year-old resident of Ambalangoda Randombe area, was shot and killed near Dharmashoka Vidyalaya in the suburb of Ambalangoda.

The incident occurred on the Galle-Colombo main road.

According to initial police investigations, the victim had rented a three-wheeler near Ambalangoda bus station. While he was on his way home in the three-wheeler at approximately 10:45 p.m., two individuals riding a motorbike approached him and shot him with a pistol.

Following the murder, the Magistrate conducted investigations, and the body was subsequently taken to Balapitiya Base Hospital for a post-mortem examination.

As of now, no information has been released regarding the identity or whereabouts of the suspects. The Ambalangoda police are currently conducting further investigations into the case.
