According to reports from foreign media, the extent and duration of the outage remain unclear, leaving users frustrated and uncertain about when services will be restored.

Downdetector, a service that tracks outages worldwide, has recorded over 160,000 reports of Facebook being down in the UK alone, along with over 40,000 reports of Instagram accounts being affected. This outage marks one of the largest disruptions faced by Meta’s platforms in recent years.

In response to the issue, Andy Stone, Meta’s director of communications, acknowledged the problem on X (former Twitter) and assured users that they are working to resolve it as soon as possible.
