An English citizen residing at the “Blue Ocean” housing complex in Alvis Area, Mount Lavinia fell to her death from the 13th floor today (09). The victim has been identified as Sinanaiya Alageswaran Romina, and the incident occurred in the early hours of the day.

It was discovered that the deceased, a law student residing in the Wellawatta area, had initiated a romantic relationship with the young man she met on Facebook social media. In response to his request, she rented the online-reserved house on Alwis Mawatha, Mount Lavinia and arrived in Sri Lanka in April, where she had been residing.

Scheduled to return to England on the following day (10), an altercation between the two individuals took place in the early hours, according to Mount Lavinia Police.

The nature of the incident, whether it was a murder or suicide, remains uncertain at this time. The law student, involved in a relationship with the deceased, has been taken into police custody as a suspect in the case.
