The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) Executive Council has stated that the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Sunday attack has not paid attention to Sarah, alias Pulastini Rajendran, the wife of suicide bomber Mohammed Mohamed Hastun, who has fled to India.

A statement issued by the SLFP Executive Council stated that the commission had ignored information that could have been uncovered.

The Executive Council of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) emphasized that non-exercise of the powers vested in the President by the Constitution is not a reason to file a criminal case against him.

Rejecting the report of the Presidential Commission of Inquiry into the Easter Sunday attack, the SLFP All Ceylon Executive Council points out that the report clearly shows that the party chairman, former President Maithripala Sirisena, has clearly fulfilled his responsibilities.

The executive council said in a statement that there was no legal or factual basis to file any criminal case against him.

The Sri Lanka Freedom Party (SLFP) All Ceylon Executive Council has stated that the commission’s report has not focused on those who planned the attack, those who paid for the bombers’ attack and those who provided security.
