A Dutch woman who was traveling in a tuk tuk (three-wheeler) has died in an accident in the Pelwehera in Dambulla area on the A09 road , Central of Sri Lanka. She was succumbed when a three-wheeler collided with a lorry.
Police say the accident occurred last night (18).
Two foreign men and two women who were traveling in the three-wheeler were seriously injured in the accident and one woman died after being admitted to the Dambulla Hospital.
The deceased is a 54-year-old Dutch woman, identified as Windy Antonya Martina .
As Sri Lanka has a heavy influx of tourists in Sri Lanka it is a common seen that some tourists take a three wheeler ride to find their destinations.
