Investigations have revealed that the driver of the bus that overturned on March 20 while traveling from Lunugala to Colombo had used five driver’s licenses belonging to other persons, according to police sources.
Police have also filed a case against him on criminal charges of murders for his negligence.
The driver had from time to time used the licenses of various persons and had been fined for reckless driving in violation of traffic rules.
The bus overturned near the 13th post on the Lunugala road on March 20, killing 15 people and injuring several others.
