The Election Commission has urged politicians, political activists, and trade union activists to refrain from distributing ballot papers in government offices or institutions.

The Election Commission has released a statement saying it is prohibited to canvass or distribute handbills at any public or provincial council also as well as at any school, local government office, or any public institution. It also noted that the heads of the institutions will be held responsible to not allow such practices from taking place within the organization.
