Dinesh Shafter’s murder investigators are trying to track down a slim, tall man who suddenly disappeared from the crime scene.

The officers of the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department have started investigations to track down the person who is said to have left the crime scene where Dinesh Shafter was suspected to have been murdered.

An employee of the cemetery had initially given a statement that he saw this man as a slim, tall person and had seen him walking towards the crematorium of the cemetery from near the car. He had told the Criminal Investigation Department officials that he could identify the man who was wearing pants and a shirt if he saw him again. Investigators believe that finding that person will reveal a volume of information about the Shafter murder.

Only three people have seen the Dinesh Shafter crime scene, which is known as the Orphanage of the Borella Cemetery.

They were Krish Perera, who is said to be a close associate of Shafter, and two cemetery employees.

From the statements obtained from them, the investigators found that Dinesh Shafter had a wire wrapped around his body and that his hands were tied with cable ties.

When they tried to untie the straps but couldn’t, only the wire around the body was removed, and he was rushed to the National Hospital with his hands still tied and Shafter on the seat next to the driver’s seat.

It is stated that the officers of the Homicide and Organized Crime Investigation Division of the Criminal Investigation Department are conducting a tedious investigation regarding this mystery death.

The Criminal Investigation Department has disclosed that the investigation is being conducted on the basis of expert evidence on the “cable tie” found in Dinesh Shafter’s house and the antenna wire similar to the wire wrapped around his body.

Investigative sources reveal that during the investigation, the investigators have paid special attention to the phone messages exchanged on Dinesh Shafter’s mobile phone, the messages circulated on social media networks including WhatsApp, and the messages and phone calls exchanged on the phones of his wife and mother-in-law.
