Actress turned activist Damitha Abeyratne who was arrested recently granted bail by Colombo Fort Magistrate Thilina Gamage.
Damitha Abeyratne, ordered to release her on two sureties of Rs.500,000 each.
On September 8, the Court ordered to remand Damitha Abeyratne till September 14 for allegedly obstructing the duties of police officers and forcibly entering Presidential Secretariat and damaging its property during a protest.
In a motion before Court it was argued that suspect had not committed these alleged offences while she was enlarged on bail over another similar incident.
She was arrested by Colombo North Divisional Crime Detective Bureau (DCDB) for allegedly obstructing the duties of police officers and forcibly entering Presidential Secretariat and damaging its property during a protest.
