Social media activist and YouTuber Darshana Handungoda who was arrested by the CID in the early hours of today was granted bail by the Fort Magistrate’s Court.
He was arrested at the Bandaranaike International Airport, upon arrival from Dubai by immigration officials up pon a notice by Criminal Investigation Department. According to the police he was arrested over posting controversial views on social media platforms on May 09th.
Fort magistrate Thilina Gamage ordered to grant him bail with two personal surety bail worth two Lakhs.
