A doctor who was attached to the plastic surgery unit of the Ragama Teaching Hospital has died due to Covid disease, hospital sources said. The victim was Dr . Mohommed jayaan a senior house officer who was in 34 years of age.
A hospital spokesman said that He had been admitted to the intensive care unit about two weeks ago due to an exacerbation of the disease while being treated at a Covid ward.
Dr Janan, who was receiving treatment at the Intensive Care Unit, died this morning (18) due to the complications of the disease, the spokesman added.
It has been reported that this doctor has not taken any dose of the Covid vaccine.
