Army Commander Shavendra Silva says that more people are infected with the Covid virus in areas where curfew has been imposed than in areas where curfew has not been imposed.
He points out that the situation could worsen if public movement is not restricted as much as possible in areas where curfews have been imposed.
Therefore, he made a special request to the people not to leave the house except for an essential task
He told a private TV channel this morning that if the employees of public and private institutions were called to work in the areas where the curfew had been imposed, the institutions should only call for the essential employees.
