The Epidemiology unit of the Minister of Health has advised those attending the Colombo Book Fair to adhere to all the health regulations and guidelines imposed to prevent Covid 19. The Director of the Unity, Dr Sudath Samaraweera brought this to the attention of the public yesterday at a media briefing held in Colombo.
The annual Colombo Book Fair will be declared open today and often draws in large crowds from across the island. Organizers were given the go-ahead to hold the annual event from the country’s health officials.
Earlier this week the authorities expressed their concerns on the reduced compliance of the health regulations and guidelines imposed to prevent Covid 19.
Currently,3274 Covid 19 cases have been reported from Sri Lanka and 2043 have fully received according to health officials. 215 continues to receive treatment.
