The court has issued an order today (25) to remand the Chief Registrar of the Fort Magistrate’s Court.
The registrar was arrested by the Criminal Investigation Department for an incident related to creating false documents allowing a criminal to leave the country.
The arrest took place on October 13 at the premises of the Fort Magistrate’s Court. The registrar had been taken into custody for sending a letter to the immigration controller that led to the removal of a foreign travel ban imposed on a suspect. This suspect had been arrested by the Fraud Investigation Bureau on charges of money laundering, and the registrar was also accused of misplacing the relevant case file.
