The Criminal Investigation Department has recorded a statement from former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa for nearly 3 hours regarding the money amount of over 17 million rupees recovered from the President’s house by activists during Aragalaya.
The former President has given the statement last Monday (06).
According to an order given by the court, a group of officers from the Criminal Investigation Department went to the residence of former President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and recorded the statement, the Police Media Spokesperson’s Office stated.
