The Central Committee of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party has decided yesterday (21) to suspend the party membership of former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.
It was decided here to suspend the party membership of all those who left the Sri Lanka Freedom Party including Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga.
Sarathi Dushmantha Mitrapala has been appointed as the new treasurer to replace Lasantha Alagiyawanna, the treasurer of Sri Lanka Freedom Party.
Meanwhile minister Mahinda Amaraweera has been removed from the post of President of the United People’s Freedom Alliance and Thilanga Sumathipala has been appointed to that position.
