The Bandaranaike Memorial National Foundation yesterday (08) donated Rs. 250 million to the government fund established to provide relief to people affected by Cyclone Ditwah. Former President Chandrika Bandaranaike Kumaratunga handed over the donation to Prime Minister Dr. Harini Amarasuriya on behalf of the foundation.
As Chairperson of the foundation, the former President visited the Prime Minister’s Office yesterday with the board of directors and staff, where she officially handed over the amount.
