Samagi Jana Balawegaya MP Champika Ranawaka has decided to become an independent Member of Parliament sources said.
Meanwhile the government has offered him with Finance Ministry or similar fronline ministry for Mr. Ranawaka joins the government a reliable sources told to Lankasara.
However, MP Champika Ranawaka has declined that offer and conveyed to the government that he will not accept the proposal made by the government and has stated that he, as an independent MP, supports the present program facing the country.
MP Ranawaka has also decided to submit a proposal to the government this week to resolve the energy crisis facing the country.
The above sources further state that with the Independent MP Champika Ranawaka, another group of the Samagi Janabalawega is working to become independent and another group is to join the government directly.
