Health authorities have advised devotees attending the Sri Dalada Vandana—the exposition of the Sacred Tooth Relic at the Sri Dalada Maligawa in Kandy—to bring a bottle of drinking water and to drink water before feeling thirsty. This helps prevent dehydration. Devotees are also encouraged to refill their water bottles before they are empty.
In addition, any devotee who is taking long-term medication for an illness should bring those medicines and take them at the prescribed time and dosage, even if they are within the hospital premises.
Furthermore, Dr. Senaka Thalagala, the Provincial Medical Director of Kandy, has informed the public that individuals attending medical clinics should carry their clinic books with them.
The second day of the exposition concluded this evening, with thousands of devotees paying homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic. The exposition will continue daily until the 27th of April, starting at 12:30 PM each day. According to the Sri Dalada Maligawa, devotees can also visit the temple to pay their respects as usual when the exposition is not taking place.
