Basil tells Wimal Udaya team about MR’s role in all party government !

Former Finance Minister Basil Rajapaksa has stressed with Wimal Weerawansa, Udaya Gammanpila, Nimal Siripala de Silva and other independents that Mahinda Rajapaksa himself will be appointed as the PM of proposed all party interim government. He also has informed them that if there is another option, be prepared and let government party to know about such an arrangement political sources said.
Basil Rajapaksa has conveyed this message during a discussion with them chaired by the President Gotabaya Rajapaksa held today at President’s House sources further said.

Although the President expected the participation of SLPP seniors for the discussion considerable figure have not turned for it. According to the sources absentees were Pavithra Wanniarachchi, Rohitha Abeygunewardena, Jonston Fernando, S.M Chandrasena, Bandula Gunawardena etc. In this backdrop Basil Rajapaksa has represented the SLPP and expressed his views on the Premiership and ministerial portfolios of new all party government. Wimal Udaya faction was told by Basil Rajapaksa to inform about ministerial positions what they required.
Wimal Weerawansa Udaya Gammanpila and several other independent parliamentarians who had strongly opposed Basil Rajapaksa since the beginning of the crisis are considered to be the first discussion in which Basil Rajapaksa participated.
