An Australian national has died after the car which was driving from Gampola towards Hemmathagama veered off the road and fell into a cliff at Hemmathagama.
Both her daughter and the driver suffered injuries in the collision. The two injured are receiving treatment at Gampola General Hospital.

According to the authorities, reckless speeding and lack of vehicle control were to blame for the collision.
