The Asian Cricket Council officially announced today (15) that the Asia Cup 2023 cricket tournament will be held from August 31 to September 17 with Sri Lanka – Pakistan co-hosting.
The Asian Cricket Council has decided to hold 04 matches in Pakistan and 09 matches in Sri Lanka in the 13-match series.
After 15 years, Pakistan got the opportunity to host the Asia Cup cricket tournament. But the Indian Cricket Board refused to send its team to Pakistan. In this situation, the Asian Cricket Council had decided to hold the matches in Pakistan and Sri Lanka under a hybrid format after many rounds of discussions due to the problematic situation that arose regarding the tournament.
