Another 246 persons have tested positive for Covid 19 from the Brandix cluster, according to Army Commander Lt. General Shavendra Silva. He said the revelation comes after conducting more PCR tests on factory workers. With the new numbers, the total number of patients from the cluster has risen to 569.
Meanwhile, Silva also said curfew will be imposed in the Gampaha Police Division from 6 pm today till further notice. Yesterday curfew was imposed in the Minuwangoda and Divulapitiya areas to contain the spread of the disease.
