Two criminal suspects believed to be involved in a fatal shooting incident near a shop in the Guruwala Junction area of the Pitigala police domain, which resulted in the death of two individuals and left two others seriously injured on Monday (11) arrested.
According to police reports, the suspects, one of whom is alleged to have orchestrated the crime while the other provided support, were apprehended yesterday (16) in the Talgaswala area. The swift action by law enforcement has led to the seizure of crucial evidence, including three mobile phones and two motorcycles suspected to have been used in the commission of the crime.
The individuals taken into custody by the investigation department are both 35 years old and reside in the Talgaswila area. The shooting, perpetrated by two unidentified assailants who arrived on a motorcycle, involved the use of a T56 firearm.
While the motive behind the shooting incident remains under investigation, authorities are urging anyone with information relevant to the case to come forward and assist in the pursuit of justice.
