Arjuna Ranatunga has been appointed as the Chairman of national Sports Councils , the advisory body on Sports policies. The appointment letter was handed over to Mr Ranatunga , the former minister and the captain of the world cup winning cricket team by the Sports minister Roshan Ranasinghe.
15 members including Arjuna have been appointed to the sports council by the minister. Tri forces commanders also among the members of the council.
