Aragalaya activist Priyath Nikeshala’s eyesight becomes weak following a brutal attack

A social activist who played a big role in the (Aragalaya) struggle, Priyath Nikesala has been admitted to the Colombo National Hospital in critical condition following an isolated attack by a mob of about ten people including Kaduwela Deputy Mayor Chandika Abeyratne sources said.

Hospital sources said that Priyat Nikeshala was seriously attacked on the head and chest area. A spokesperson of the National Hospital told Lankasara that due to the attacks on his head, his vision has now become weak.

The car in which Priyat Nikeshala was traveling was blocked by another car and he attacked the car and forced it out. This attack is carried out when Priyat Nikeshala asks him not to attack him because he as a child.

By now, it is reported that a group of people have gathered in front of the emergency department of the National Hospital.
