Former minister Champika Ranawaka, the leader of the 43 division has pointed out to the President that there is a dire need of appointing professionals as the heads of government institutions instead of appointing politically aligned persons for those positions.
He stated that in the discussion held with the President yesterday (05) for an all-party government.
Champika Ranawaka, who said that a country cannot be built by political reforms alone, also said that the contribution of people with professional competence should be made a major factor.
He said that in education reforms, the syllabus should be set looking at the future world.
MP Champika Ranawaka also stated that the 43rd Division is working optimistically with the President’s position regarding bringing back the 19th Constitutional Amendment.
