Another Covid 19 positive patient has passed away today (25). According to health officials the person, a 70 year old man from Colombo 02 was being treated at the ICU of the National Hospital when he passed away in the early hours of the morning today. It was confirmed that the man had contracted Covid 19.
Officials said he had been admitted to hospital after a germ had entered the bloodstream and had died due to the complications arising from the condition. This is the 16th Covid 19 related death in Sri Lanka.
