35 new Covid infected persons have been reported from a funeral home in the Nawaloka area in Horampella, Minuwangoda, The Minuwangoda MOH office sources said.
According to the small children are also among them.
Health officials told Lankasara that the funeral had taken place on the 10th of this month and about a week after it had taken place, three family members who had visited to the funeral and those who had come to the house where the funeral had taken place had identified with Covid.
They added that several family members who attended the funeral were still suffering from colds and flu-like symptoms.
Health officials said that a large number of people from different parts of the country had come to the funeral home as the deceased was a hospital employee.
Although the infected people have been identified as those who had come to the funeral home and a large number of people had come to the house, all the visitors had been informed by the health officials to come for a quick antibody test on Saturday (24). However only four people were presente for the test it is reported.
