The Government Medical Officers’ Association (GMOA) warns that there is a serious problem created due to the shortage of fuel to transport critically ill patients to Colombo National Hospital or any other major hospital.
Dr. Samantha Ananda, the former media spokesman for the association, said that patients’ lives could be in grave danger if they did not receive the treatment they needed on time.
In the light of Health service has been declared as an essential service GMOA urges that uninterrupted fuel supply is vital for ambulances.
