A Maulavi who allegedly spread false information regarding a potential bomb threat against several churches in the town of Akuruna has been detained, according to the police media spokesman.
The 21-year-old Maulavi named Isadeen Mohommad was arrested today (22) by the Cyber Crime Division officers in Harispattu, Batugoda area.
He was identified three days ago and, after an inquiry; he admitted that he had given false information.
According to the information provided by this person, the Ministry of Public Security has expended a significant amount of resources—both financial and physical—to deploy police and special forces to tighten security on the 18th and 19th.
The police say that strict action will be taken against this person.
