Kevin Spacey, the renowned Hollywood actor, has been acquitted of all nine sex offence charges against him at London’s Southwark Crown Court. Speaking after the verdict, Spacey expressed feeling humbled by the outcome and acknowledged that there was much to process.
The 64-year-old actor was visibly emotional during the court proceedings, shedding tears in the dock as the verdicts were announced. Throughout the trial, prosecutors alleged that Spacey had left his four accusers feeling belittled and worthless.
Spacey vehemently denied the accusations, rejecting any notion of using his celebrity status to manipulate individuals into intimate encounters. He referred to the allegations as a betrayal and a “stab in the back.”
The complainants, who are now in their 30s and 40s, are legally granted lifelong anonymity to protect their identities.
