A person has broken into a glass of the Sathosa shop on the top floor of the Galle main bus stand and stolen three packets of milk powder from the shop, Galle Police said.
Investigations have revealed that between 7.30 pm and 8.00 pm last night (30), this person had broken a glass using the fire extinguisher installed in the building.
Within minutes of the suspect entering the shop, he had left with several packets of milk powder in a bag, police said.
Police have launched an investigation into whether the suspect had stolen more items from the Sathosa shop.
Galle Police are conducting investigations using CCTV footage to arrest the suspect.
