The 80-year-old pastor, who has been accused of raping 04 girls in a children’s home in Irupalai area of Jaffna, was arrested by the police yesterday (11) while he fled from Jaffna and was hiding in Colombo.
There were 16 children in that orphanage and the medical reports confirmed that 4 girls had been raped, when the police were about to arrest the pastor, he had fled the province.
A group of police officers arrested him in Colombo based on a tip-off they received.
Kopai police are conducting investigations into the incident.
