A German national died in an accident yesterday (29) at around 9.00 pm at a Kandy Hotel.
He died after being admitted to the Kandy National Hospital after falling in the bathroom of the hotel in Kandy where he was staying.
According to the police, the 47-year-old deceased German named Jorg Siemers had come to Sri Lanka with his wife and ten-year-old son on the 25th.
He faced this accident in the bathroom of the hotel.
The police say that the cause of death can be announced after the post-mortem examination of the body of the German national by the Consultant Judicial Medical Officer of the Kandy National Hospital.
The German embassy has been notified of the occurrence by the police.
The Kandy Tourist Police is also investigating the incident.
