One person in Jaffna has died yesterday the 20th due to the coronavirus. The deceased was a resident of the Puttur area in Jaffna.
After contracting a fever, he went to Puttur Base Hospital for treatment where it was confirmed that he was infected with Corona.
He was kept in that hospital and quarantined and he died there.
Meanwhile, 9 patients with Covid have been found in the Jaffna Peninsula, including five patients in the Jaffna Teaching Hospital and four covid patients in two other hospitals.
