In related developments, Interpol has also issued yellow notices for five more Sri Lankans. Yellow Notices are issued to aid in locating missing persons, often minors, or identifying individuals who are unable to identify themselves.

Among these cases, Balakrishan Niresh (31) went missing in Vavuniya on January 27th, 2022, Saman Wijesiri (68) from Vibadde Ralala went missing on October 13th, 2018, and Gayindu Kitmuka Madurapperuma (20) disappeared in Colombo when he was just 5 years old.

Efforts to apprehend these fugitives are ongoing, and authorities are determined to ensure that the rule of law is upheld, both within Sri Lanka and in cooperation with international partners.

The public is urged to remain vigilant and report any relevant information to the authorities, as their cooperation plays a crucial role in maintaining the safety and security of our communities.
