In an initiative by the traffic police, 13 post offices offering 24-hour services are now open to facilitate the payment of fines for traffic offenses during nighttime hours in Colombo and Kalutara districts.
This move is aimed at providing increased accessibility for police officers and drivers to settle fines outside regular working hours.
The pilot project, covering post offices in Kompanjaveediya, Havelock Town, Wellawatta, Borella, Kotahena, Battaramulla, Nugegoda, Dehiwala, Galkissa, Moratuwa, Panadura, Kalutara, and Seethawaka police stations, is expected to enhance convenience for individuals dealing with traffic-related penalties.
