A tragic incident of murder resulting from a weapon assault occurred yesterday (26) afternoon in the Navagampura area of Grandpass, Colombo. The victim, a 17-year-old resident of Navagampura, lost his life after being admitted in critical condition to the Colombo National Hospital.
According to the police, the incident unfolded following a dispute between the victim and the suspect that had been escalating over time. The suspect arrived at the scene in a three-wheeler and proceeded to attack the victim using a sharp weapon.
The assailant swiftly fled the area following the assault, prompting the Grandpass Police to initiate extensive investigations.
