Remains of an LTTE member and four other LTTE members were uncovered at the Mullaitivu Kokkuthuduwai mass grave site, raising the total number of skeletons found to 14, by yesterday (14).
Initial surface tests have verified that these newly discovered remains belong to one LTTE member and 13 LTTE members in total.
Members of the Tamil National Alliance, along with the leader of the Ilankei Tamil Arusu Kachchi Party, Mavei Senadhiraja, a former Member of Parliament, visited the excavation site and addressed the media. They expressed their demand for an international-level investigation into the matter.
Former MP Mavei Senadhiraja also indicated that steps are being taken to inform the Geneva Human Rights Council about the Kokutuduwai mass grave.
In addition to the skeletons, investigators have found official uniforms, weapon components, and various other equipment associated with LTTE members.
