A student from a prominent school in Panadura was injured in an attack involving a bottle shell, according to a spokesperson from Panadura Primary Hospital. The assault was allegedly carried out by another student from the same school, and the injured student has been admitted to the hospital.

The victim, a 12-year-old resident of Panadura’s Nalluruwa area, is currently hospitalized, but their condition is not deemed serious.

Upon receiving a complaint from the injured child’s father, the police have initiated an investigation into the incident.

Preliminary investigations have revealed that the student who was assaulted had been a target of ridicule by the alleged attacker on previous occasions.
