Cuban Ambassador to Sri Lanka Juana Elena Ramos Rodriguez has said the Cuban government is looking forward to assisting the Government of Sri Lanka in manufacturing medicines.

Cuban Ambassador Rodriguez expressed these views when she called on Minister of State for Drug Production, Supply and Regulation Prof. Channa Jayasumana at the Ministry recently.

“We look forward to assisting the Government whenever possible to address the issues facing the world’s ill health and to provide the necessary technical advice and guidance in the manufacture of medicines,” the Ambassador said.

She said that she was pleased with the progress being made by Sri Lanka in the field of pharmaceutical production and expressed her willingness to do all possible assistance as a country.
